"Countermeasures" is a site-specific intervention that seeks to change traditional light boxes used for advertising. The project strips these light boxes of their intended function, transforming them into a new light object. By removing the branding and replacing the ad billboards with transparent acrylic glass, the former gas station is visually returned to an intermediate state, fitting the current context and circumstances.

To further enhance this effect, the project manipulates the fluorescent tubes in the light boxes to make them flash randomly. This creates a sense of disruption and breaks the regularity and predictability of traditional advertising. Through this intervention, "Countermeasures" aims to create a unique and experience for viewers, challenging their expectations and inviting them to consider the potential of light and space in new ways.
